60th Symposium of the International Veterinary Students Association – I.V.S.A

In Belgrade and other Serbian cities from 16th to 23rd December will be held 60th Symposium of the International Veterinary Students Association. Moto the Symposium is “Knowledge before technology”. At the opening ceremony which was held in 16th December at amphitheater Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade, was attended by 80 students from 23 countries around the world.
Center for preservation of indigenous breeds was support the maintenance of the Symposium. The first lecture in the symposium with the topic “Indigenous breeds of dogs in Serbia“, held by CEPIB executive director, Dr. vet. Darko Drobnjak and board member Dr. Milivoje Urosevic.
2nd International Fair of Horse Breeding “HorseVille”

Fair of horse breeding, which will be held from 30th September – 2nd October 2011. at the Novi Sad Fair will begin on Thursday, 29 September with 2nd regional conference of breeding, reproduction and health care of horses, which will be held at the Congress Centre of the Novi Sad Fair. Conference continues through Friday, 30th September, as well as on Saturday, 1st of October. Conference program is available here.
During the fair, are provided the following events:
International competition in show jumping “HorseVille Show Jumping Cup 2011″ will be held on Thursday 29th, Friday, 30th September and Saturday, 1st October, at the Green Arena of Novi Sad Fair.
On Thursday, in 16 PM, from Equestrian Arena, moving parade of riders and horses, which precedes the opening of the Fair horse breeding, planned in Freedom Square in the center of Novi Sad in 17 PM.
International Competition in dressage riding “HorseVille Cup Dressage – CDI”, held in the Dresaage arena on friday 30th September and on Saturday 1st of October.
International competition carriage driving “Driving HorseVille Cup 2011″ will be held at the Green Arena on Sunday 2nd of October. After the competition following award ceremony.

In within projet ” A detailed zootechnical study of the Yugoslav shepherd dog-Sarplaninac,” on September 25th was carried out measuring of the exterior parameters in 13 dogs in the Municipality of Mladenovac. The dogs were owned by breeders who are members of the Serbian sarplaninac club.
Annual Meeting of SAVE Foundation

Annual Meeting of SAVE Foundation and the fifth European seminar on agrobiodiversety will held on 22. to 25. September in Dimitrovgrad at Amphora hotel.
The organizer of the seminar is SEVE Foundation in cooperation with their counterparts from Serbia: The Association of Growers of old Serbian breeds, the Natural Society Natura Balkanika, Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, Breeding organizations HERD Ltd.

22nd Conference Veterinarian of Serbia

We inform you that from 14.-17. September in Zlatibor wiil held 22nd Coference Veterinarian of Serbia with international participation, organized by Serbian Veterinary Society and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Center for preservation of indigenous breeds and its representatives in the Conference participate with five scientific papers. Conference program can be download here.

We want to inform you that from Monday 5th September within the our web site on the “Education” page, started on-line library. On this page you can find scientific and professional papers from all areas of activity of the Centre.
Currently, as part of the contents on-line library are 39 scientific papers published in various journals and proceedings from scientific and professional conference. Works are in Serbian and English. Number of entries in the content of library will be increased.
