Who are we?

The Center for Preservation of Indigenous Breeds (CEPIB) is a non-governmental, scientific, expert organization which deals with studying, protection and preservation of various indigenous species and breeds of domestic, farm and wild animals through different educative, promotional, research and joint programs and projects.

Our vision is to be the driving force for everybody whose goal is to encourage raising and preservation of different indigenous species and breeds of domestic, farm and wild animals through informative, promotional, educative, scientific, expert and research projects and thus contribute to the preservation of total biodiversity and promote the sustainable natural resource development.

Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the protection and advancement of raising indigenous species and breeds of domestic, farm, and wild animals by means of education, through various projects, led by scientific knowledge, at the same time promotin the
principles of sustainable development.

The activities of the centre are:

•  Developing, creating and implementing various programs, projects and studies in the fields of protection, raising, selection, reproduction, welfare, healthcare and prevention of different species and breeds of domestic, farm and wild animals with special attention to indigenous ones;

•  Planning and carrying out different programs of professional development;

•  Collecting and analyzing scientific and expert text materials in the field of operation;

•  Organizing scientific and expert meetings, conferences, seminars and other forms of education , alone or in cooperation with other organizations;

•  Conducting scientific and expert research in the fields of raising, selection, reproduction, welfare,  healthcare and prevention of various species and breeds of domestic, farm and wild animals with special attention to indigenous ones;

•  Starting, supporting, creating, implementing action, expert and scientific plans, projects, studies and research in the field of raising, selection, reproduction, welfare, healthcare and prevention of various species and breeds of domestic, farm and wild animals with special attention to indigenous ones;

•  Organizing teachers, experts, scientists and others  for the work on educating the youth and citizens;

•  Participating in the creation and implementation of different expert and scientific programs, studies, strategies and projects together with universities, scientific and expert organizations, schools and associations in the country and abroad which have the same or similar activity;

•  Organizing, promoting and supporting different shows and exhibitions of various species and  breeds of domestic and farm animals;

•  Producing, translating and publishing expert and scientific books, magazines, manuals  and brochures in the field of the activity and operation of the association in accordance with the law;

•  Setting standards as needed or upon request for various species and breeds of domestic and farm animals and proposing them for adoption to competent institutions in accordance with the law;

•  Organizing courses, seminars and educative programs in all fields of animal husbandry, cynology and hunting
